Junior Accounting Manager-South East Asia (f/m/x)

In this role you will: 
  • You will assist and report directly to the SEA Accounting Manager, indirectly to the Senior Accounting Manager in Germany
  • You will assist in managing our external bookkeepers and tax advisors, ensuring that our books are kept up-to-date and reconcile to allow monthly closings
  • You will assist in managing the day-to day accounting operations of your entities, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Checking vouchers, contracts and payment records to ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
  • Saving all required documentation to allow proper bookings from our external tax advisors
  • Handling electronic payment transactions for operational payments and support the respective country managers
  • Overseeing invoicing and revenue collection in close collaboration with our in-country teams
  • Reconciling and reviewing transactions in our Accounting System (Accounts IQ)
  • Assist in ensuring tax and commercially correct accounting in day to-day operations, including payroll related taxes, value added tax, foreign contractor taxand corporate income tax and other regulatory filings, e.g.: statistical, DPI and other reports 
  • Assist in managing the audited year-end financial close of the Southeast Asian companies in cooperation with our external tax advisors and auditors
  • Assist in managing administrative tasks (invoicing, dunning, payments, banking and short/long loans) in close collaboration with our two Office Managers in Vietnam and treasury team in Germany
  • Assist in interpreting and consulting legislative and regulatory requirements where necessary and ensure any resulting amendments to processes or procedures implemented
  • Assist in preparing special evaluations, other reports to present to the headquarters in Germany and/or institutional investors
  • You will continuously improve the processes in your area of work and contribute to the automation and digitalization of our company
Your profile
Your Skills: 
  • 1+ years of prior working experience in a similar position
  • You have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including VAS (Vietnam Accounting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). 
  • You have previous experience in a company with multiple entities and inter-company transactions, with an international team and/or with a startup
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Excel
  • You are fluent in English (our office language)
  • You can work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • You are thoroughly organized and have an eye for detail
  • You have excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • You can take on a lot of responsibility, build and optimize processes and make sure that results are delivered on time
  • You are motivated to change the world and find our business model exciting
