The role
Our international team is looking for an ambitious and energetic Head of Retail Investments (f/m/x) to support the fundraising initiatives for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar portfolios. This role will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer with responsibilities in reporting, fundraising, and investor management. This person will be an essential part of ecoligo’s drive to be a leading provider of affordable, clean energy solutions for SMEs in Latin America and Africa. You will be responsible for managing our own Investor Impact Platform (www.ecoligo.com).
 
Our ideal candidate has relevant experience in investor relations and specifically with retail investments through crowdfunding. You combine your strong managerial skills with an effective and clear communication style. We are looking for a hands-one manager that can navigate through the complexity of the crowd investing landscape. You will be responsible for leading a small team of 4 professionals.

In this role you will
As the Head of Retail Investments, your contributions will directly impact ecoligo’s ability to enable businesses worldwide to switch to clean energy today. By securing and structuring investments from retail investors, you will enable the deployment of clean energy solutions. You play a pivotal role in managing investments and nurturing relationships with retail investors. You excel in understanding and engaging with our retail investor community, fostering loyalty and expanding our investor base. Your strategic insights, managerial capabilities and investor management skills will empower ecoligo to create a sustainable investment platform, meet growing energy demands, and ultimately contribute to a more sustainable future. Your role is not just about managing retail investors—it's about driving innovation and growth.
Objectives
  • Market & customer focused product strategy. Develop and align financial products with investor needs and risk profiles.
  • Regulatory & Risk Management. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining transparent fee structures & investment practices.
  • Customer Experience & Engagement. Focus on building long-term investor relationships, resulting in a high performing retail investment portfolio.
  • Project Management: Managing the full cycle of investor capital management, from onboarding to project and financial reporting.
  • Sales & Distribution: optimise the distribution of financial products through ecoligo’s proprietary platform, third party distributors and other relevant channels.
Your skills
  • Relevant master’s degree is required, with 8-12 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior working experience in investor relations and with crowdfunding is highly desired, including an understanding of the relevant regulatory landscape. Understanding of loan structuring desirable. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in an international company is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English (English is our daily working language and German is required for investor communication). 
  • Leadership & People Management. Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain accountability while creating a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Relationship Management. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with and articulate complex financial concepts to retail investors.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance and risk assessment affecting retail investments.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and refine strategies.
  • Problem-solving. Capacity to anticipate and address challenges proactively, developing innovative and practical solutions to ensure project and operational success.
